Margaret O’Shaughnessey: Trump’s action words
Regarding Dana Milbank’s Feb. 27 column “Donald Trump’s ‘Captain Underpants’ campaign”: Perhaps Trump has learned from Republican congressmen and senators who have reduced their level of discourse from three words to one: “no.” Trump’s sentences at least offer a verb. Republican congressmen and senators offer nothing.
We do not reward 2-year-olds when they answer “no” to every plea for better behavior. Why should Republican senators and congressmen be paid for saying “no” to the proper functioning of the legislative and judicial branches of the government?
