Wallace McLendon: Genitalia scanners next?
Regarding the March 24 news article “LGBT protections end as McCrory signs bill”: Regardless how one feels about sexual identity, should we allow the North Carolina legislature to dictate how individuals live their lives at the most intimate level?
I have worked with a variety of LGBTs, and I’m sure there were some individuals who I never knew – nor cared to know – their biological sex.
Given my inability to identify who was who, I imagine that the state legislature’s next step will be to create its own brand of TSA – Transgender Sex Alert – to guard the entrance of every bathroom with genitalia scanners to redirect a teenage boy who lives and dresses and dreams like a girl to the men’s bathroom.
