Ron Driver: Olson a class act

Regarding the March 28 news article “Champion of North Carolina writers and founder of Quail Ridge Books dies”: I have known Jim and Nancy Olson for nearly 40 years. Nancy was one of the most inspiring people I ever met even before the book store. So much passion, intellect and curiosity we seldom see.

I remember when they arrived in North Carolina and the first time I met them both. We seldom meet people in our life who leave such a lasting impression and who we think of often even with lengthy times away.

Her influence on new writers and readers alike is a legacy which will carry her in our hearts always. Thanks Nancy, and may she rest in peace. Heaven is surely a more enriched environment today.
