Tom Zimmerman: ‘The potty legislature’

We know that the current Republican-led state legislature will not be remembered as an “education legislature.” Or as a “health legislature.” Or as a “fair-tax legislature.” Or as a “fair-voting legislature.” Or as a legislature that has made the lives of average North Carolinians better in practical ways.

Given the pompous nature of much of its legislation, it is perhaps fitting that they be remembered as the “potty legislature.” But it could be even worse, photo IDs are not (yet) required to use North Carolina public toilets.
