Kerry Keenan: Review institutes ‘don’t care’

As I read Richard B. Lyman’s heartfelt and true story (“ ‘Denial mills’ deprive patients of vital drugs,” March 31 Point of View) about the continuing mess we have with our insurers, I was reminded of a horrifying film that opened my eyes about this very situation. It is called “Sicko” by Michael Moore and should be viewed by everyone. It is shocking and incredulous.

But, it proves that even with Obamacare, Medicare and all of our bi-weekly paid insurance coverages, these “review institutes” will always take the side of “don’t know, don’t care, don’t spend.”

I am so glad that Lyman wrote this POV and also had (as he said) “access to an attorney and a very supportive family.”
