Thomas Young: Old-school unisex restroom
Last week in Wake County someone learned they have inoperable cancer. Someone learned they had lost their job. Someone was informed that their spouse was divorcing them. Someone learned the bank was foreclosing on their home. Someone learned that their teenager was addicted to drugs.
There are people in this world who do not have access to clean water or food. Others are living in refugee camps forced to leave their war-torn country. Others are being persecuted because of the faith.
I guarantee that these people are not concerned about who is using public restrooms. So if our biggest problem is that we are being denied which restroom we want to use or our biggest fear is someone using a restroom that we do not wish them to use, then consider ourself one of the fortunate people on this earth.
