Jennifer Flowers: We need ‘outhouse’ respect

I have been amused and saddened with The News & Observer’s coverage about the use of bathrooms for transgenders.

I know the world has changed, but, I grew up with an “outhouse,” a wooden building we all used, whatever gender.

As I remember it was not about gender but respect. Perhaps, respect is what is missing in our world.
