Mike Strohmeyer: Only protecting ‘my little girls’
In the April 4 news article, “HB2 challenge could play out in two courts,” state Sen. David Brock said: “You know, $42,000 is not going to cover the medical expenses when a pervert walks into a bathroom and my little girls are in there.”
Just wait until some transgender man with a female birth certificate follows the new law, walks into a public women’s room and severely traumatizes a surviving victim of an actual sexual assault. I’m betting that Brock and his colleagues didn’t consider that scenario in their rush to judgment, although he seems more than willing to break his own rules by going into the women’s room to mete out his justice if his little girls, who are probably much more hip to all of this than he is, are “traumatized.”
But, of course, the GA’s mission was to protect women, as long as those women are “my little girls.”
