John Davis: GOP wrong to criticize Barber

Just finished the disquieting April 18 news article “State NAACP leader Barber removed from flight in D.C.” about Rev. William Barber’s removal from his flight to Raleigh.

Not having been there, it’s impossible to form a meaningful opinion about the incident. But apparently that doesn’t deter Michele Nix, vice chair of the NCGOP, from castigating Barber for what she contended was his inappropriate behavior although there’s no indication she was there, either.

How anyone can attack someone with physical difficulties without knowing the facts first-hand is appalling, but that’s the Grand Old Party – know-nothing, do-nothing but always be ready to denigrate others.
