Tiffany Bair: Bible belt ‘bullies’

I read the April 14 news article “Religious right unhappy with McCrory’s order on HB2” with a sense of disbelief.

I find it odd that those who call themselves “religious” or “right” and feel that LGBTs are immoral aren’t out there picketing and calling on their legislators to make divorce illegal. Jesus did say that is a sin. It has also torn apart more families than anything on this planet. I guess because it was invented by heterosexuals to get out of their marriages and is at an all-time high, well, that’s OK.

As a Christian, I am called to have compassion, and I have compassion for those who are beaten and bullied just because they’re deemed “different.” It hurts my heart that some of my Christian brothers and sisters would side with bullies.
