Daryl Kilian: HB2 doesn’t discriminate

Even though I know The N&O leans far left, the number of letters in opposition to HB2 in the April 10 Sunday Forum surprised even me.

I think it’s safe to say that your paper is fundamentally in favor of allowing a city council to start a social engineering experiment. However, our lawmakers begged to differ. Thank God for them!

The law is really not about discrimination of any group of people. It doesn’t take away any rights. It is a very simple straightforward bill. Mostly it is designed to prevent someone of nefarious intent from entering a bathroom of the opposite sex and actually be allowed there.

Read the bill; I have. It would be great if everyone opposed to it would read it and just think for themselves and not have a knee jerk reaction, as most of our media continue to do.
