Joanne Pappas: Ringo cleaned up act

Regarding the April 18 letter “This Starr has fallen”: Pat Boone? Seriously? The writer referred to Ringo Starr as a drug and alcohol abuser from 46 years ago in his letter.

He needs to do some reading and fact-finding about the clean lifestyle Ringo has led for decades before he calls him a drug and alcohol abuser.

It’s closed-minded people like the writer who are going to contribute to making North Carolina a state that no one wants to visit.
