Regarding the April 28 news article “Anti-abortion group seeks office next to Raleigh abortion clinic”: The rezoning of a residence to a business by A Hand of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center is a horrible idea.
People have likened it to having feuding families living next door to each other, but the Hand of Hope center uses very public, loud and visual methods of trying to persuade patients and employees at the abortion clinic to change their minds or careers. This creates a hostile environment in our neighborhood and makes us stuck in our homes.
Regardless of someone’s stance on abortion, putting these two warring ideologies against each other is bad for the neighborhood.
