I agree with Jim Jenkins’ April 28 column “Time for McCrory to put ’em up on Jones Street.” It has not done Gov. Pat McCrory any good as governor to legislate for his buddies on Jones Street.
If he is tired of getting sand kicked in his face, he may wish to try legislating for the people of North Carolina. I hear populism is very popular these days, especially among Republican voters. He should give it a try by supporting the working and middle class people of our great state. An increase in minimum wage may be a great place to begin.
He may discover his newfound popularity with the people quite rewarding.
