Thomas Jeffries: Let’s solve real problems

What a shame this whole House Bill 2 debacle has been. North Carolina is a great state. I have lived here more than half of a century. We have some issues with which to deal, but HB2 is just a distraction.

We should be spending our talents and treasure providing health care to all, improving pre-K to 12th grade public education, building and maintaining necessary and state of the art infrastructure and tackling our mental health crisis.

Let us not get mired down in the pursuit of solving, preemptively, problems that never existed.
