Jack Adams: A healthy mix
In reference to the May 22 letter “Leaving Bible out of academia”: The writer seemed to have a preconceived idea of what every evangelical believes in all academic fields.
The liberal side, by recent surveys, works to exclude non-liberal ideas from the campus. Thus we have campuses that are frightened by ideas presented from the non-liberal perspective. They are afraid when someone writes “Trump” on a bench on campus.
Group think is an ugly thing to watch. A healthy mix of ideas is needed to help our young people mature and to be able to think for themselves.
