Cindy Woloszyn: Be honorable, recant HB2

I am a mother of twin 10-year-old girls. I teach them to take responsibility for their actions and tell them that when they make a wrong decision, they need to admit it, recant and make things right.

I teach them that recanting is honorable and that, indeed, recanting often garners more respect. I teach them that recanting is behaving ethically and doing the right thing.

House Bill 2 is hurting our state. It needs to be retracted. There is no shame in doing the right thing. I don’t care about party politics as I vote across all party lines. I care about our state.

It is time for the governor to take the right stand and recant HB2.
