Sandy Gottlieb: A tolerance workshop for GOP
Regarding the May 29 Point of View “They’re just like us”: Elon University professor Anthony Hatcher wrote about how familiarity with “others” encouraged his students toward greater tolerance. Perhaps he could organize a similar workshop for the GOP leadership in the General Assembly. They just might develop some empathy for members of the LGBT community and feel less need to demonize people unlike themselves.
