Bill Jensen: A better celebration

Fourth of July is coming around again, and lots of people will be buying fireworks to celebrate the birth of our nation. The trouble is, they are contributing to the economic death of our nation by purchasing fireworks made in China. Americans are expected to spend a total of $675 million on fireworks this year. A good portion of this money goes to China, a country that is not our friend and to which we already owe more than $1.2 trillion. A better way to celebrate the birth of our nation is with friends at a barbeque honoring those who have kept us free, and without fireworks.
