Evans Waddell: Matter of opinion

Regarding the June 28 letter “Shoddy reporting”: Commentary, which is what Barry Saunders provides, is not reporting. It is, as his columns are labeled, commentary, which contains elements of opinion and perspective.

Reporting would provide the facts in a contextual setting so the reader should get an unbiased presentation of the situation or topic being reported.
