I have watched this newspaper become more condensed as the years have passed. I debated dropping my subscription. But there have been some shining articles that make me stay.

After the July 5 Point of View “Try intellectual humility” by Erich Prince, I knew I had to congratulate you on the best written explanation of why we choose opinions!

Some of the other articles you have thoroughly investigated are the series on deaths of poor people in Clayton, not allowing truckers to rest on off-ramps near a winery and toxic well water in poorer neighborhoods in Raleigh.

Thanks for these most important gems.
