Steven Metzler: Wrong priorities

Regarding the July 20 news article “Wake schools may be dirtier, less comfortable after budget cuts”: Somehow our politicians can justify spending $46-plus million on bike lanes that will not be used and are short $17 million for education.

Where is the common sense and why do we keep electing these incompetent people?
