Charlie Gunn: Blaming evil, not guns

Regarding the July 24 news article “How a gun owner won crowded primary”: Gun shop owner Ted Budd claimed it is “intellectually lazy” to blame the “device” (firearm) rather than the evil in human nature.

So it is easier to eliminate evil in human nature than it is to make it a wee bit harder for humans with evil intent to get their hands on truly awesome military firepower, innocent as those “devices” may be?

If eliminating evil is the easy intellectual choice, Budd should easily wrap that up in the three terms he promises to limit himself to.
