In response to the July 22 news story “NBA pulls All-Star Game out of N.C. over HB2”: My initial reaction was, “Really?”
The NBA is going to penalize the state and the fans who would have attended the game because of House Bill 2?
Does anyone really think that all those who would have attended the game, both state residents and nonresidents, really care about HB2? They are going to watch basketball, not monitor the bathrooms.
It continues to amaze me that so many special interest groups, all in the minority, control the rest of us. I guess the saying, “majority rules,” no longer applies. Is that a democracy? I think not.

Oh, and the saying, “What goes around, comes around,” applies in this case. Charlotte is responsible for this issue and is now paying for it.
