Bob DeCatsye: Hire an in-state lawyer

Regarding the Aug. 2 news article “Federal judge has lots of questions about HB2”: Another question comes to mind. The article referred to questions by the federal judge addressed to Gov. Pat McCrory’s legal counsel, Butch Bowers, a South Carolina-based attorney.

For the many thousands of North Carolina tax dollars being wasted by the Republicans on the defense of the governor’s bill, it seems ridiculous that we can’t at least keep our tax dollars in North Carolina.

Is McCrory saying there are no capable lawyers in this state worthy of representing him, and we must therefore send our tax dollars to another state?
