Allan Lang: No voice, vote
Regarding the July 30 news article “Judges throw out N.C.’s voter ID law”: Gov. Pat McCrory and General Assembly leaders were quick to point out that all three judges are Democrats, but it should be noted that judge Henry Floyd had been appointed to the U.S. District Court bench by George W. Bush.
All three judges supported the turnover of the bill.
Dallas Woodhouse jumped in and stated, “This is an effort to overthrow the will of the people.” No, the people of North Carolina did not have either a voice or a vote on the outcome of the partisan bill that was rushed through the General Assembly in 2013.
