Terry and Millie Scharton: Clinton’s character

Regarding J. Peder Zane’s Aug. 3 column, “Hate Clinton, Trump? Look in the mirror”: We were taken back by Zane’s comment: “We’ve known Hilary Clinton lacks character since the early 1990s.”

We have a great deal of admiration and respect for Hillary Clinton. We admired her for speaking out about the need for children’s health care when Bill first became president, for her championing later in his presidency that “it takes a village” to raise (orphaned) children, and we respected her for sticking with Bill after his debacle.

So, we would appreciate it if Zane would be so kind as to provide some evidence, or at least an explanation, of what he saw as Hillary’s character flaws in the early 1990s.
