UNC lands commitment from 2020 forward Day'Ron Sharpe

On Father's Day, Roy Williams got a welcomed addition to the Carolina family.

Day'Ron Sharpe (6-8, 220), a rising junior at South Central High School in Winterville, verbally committed to North Carolina Sunday evening according to 247Sports. Sharpe is the first player in the class of 2020 to commit to UNC. He also had offers from Virginia, East Carolina, Old Dominion and Georgetown.

As a sophomore he averaged 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds for South Central, leading the Falcons to the 2018 East Regional. Sharpe plays AAU basketball with the Garner Road Bulldogs.
