Here's when and where you can watch Theo Pinson and Joel Berry in the NBA's Summer League
If you're a North Carolina basketball fan hoping to see Joel Berry II and Theo Pinson in the pros, next week will be your first chance.
Berry, who signed a deal with the Lakers as an undrafted free agent, will be on the team's summer league roster, a spokesperson confirmed. The Lakers will play their first game of the NBA Summer League on Monday against the Sacramento Kings.
Berry will face a familiar opponent in rookie Marvin Bagley III, who was drafted second overall by the Kings. The game will appear on NBA TV at 11 p.m.
Pinson, who signed a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets, is listed on its summer league roster, which was released on Friday. The Nets first game of the summer is Friday, July 6. The game will also be aired on NBA TV at 5 p.m.
The Summer League will take place July 6- July 17.
Berry and Pinson both played four seasons at UNC. They made it to two national championships and won one in 2017.
Berry, who's 6-0 and 195 pounds, averaged 17.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists as a senior for the Tar Heels. He led the Tar Heels in scoring.
Pinson, who is 6-6, 220 pounds, averaged 10.3 points per game, 6.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game as a senior. Pinson was the Tar Heel's primary playmaker. It is unclear what position he will play, but UNC coach Roy Williams said last month that he was trying to get teams to see him as a point guard.
"Theo was more of a playmaker than anybody we had," Williams said. "He's 6-6 and so they like that size at point guard."
