Steph Curry, father Dell launch new podcast. When it begins, and where you can find it

Move over podcasters and make room for The Currys.

Golden State star and Charlotte’s prodigal son, Steph Curry, is joining forces with his father Dell to create a new podcast on Audible called “Heat Check,” it was announced on Tuesday. The podcast will bring listeners inside the family’s ride over the past decade plus, beginning with how Curry morphed into a scoring sensation at Davidson, capturing the nation’s attention before blossoming into one of the top sharpshooters the NBA has ever seen.

“Really excited for this project with Steph,” Dell Curry told The Observer. “We had a blast reminiscing how we got to where we are.”

Heat Check premiers Thursday and has several intriguing storylines, including the ties Steph shares with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James — hello, Akron — and how things quickly changed when Steph thought he was going to be drafted by the New York Knicks instead of the Warriors, where he’s won four championships and captured two MVP awards.

Dell, who’s been entrenched as the Hornets’ TV color analyst for years, also explains what he had to do so Steph, Seth and Sydel could be successful in whatever career path they chose.

Besides Steph and Dell, other family members will make appearances, including Sonya Curry. Dell Curry’s close friend and Hornets fan favorite also shares his thoughts in an episode as well.
