College Football Playoff Unveils New Logo - See How It Looks
In a week, the quarterback who led his team to the College Football Playoff championship, Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, is expected to go No. 1 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The CFP title game was between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes down in South Beach, with the visitors taking over the Hurricanes’ stadium and defeating them in a memorable game that came down to the final seconds.
That game will be the last under the old College Football Playoff logo and branding, with the organization announcing major changes on Tuesday.
OK, not major changes.
Big changes?
Slight changes?
Wait, was there a change?

Like many things in media these days, the College Football Playoff logo got a bit shinier and shorter, with “CFP” now front and center in the new branding.
The committee also posted on social media a rundown of all the new changes, showcasing why they made such a “massive” shift in their identity.
Social media and the internet at large were quick to turn on the new logo, making light of the big announcement for such a minor shift in the emblem.
While coaches, players, and fans ask for the College Football Playoff to be pushed back so it ends around New Year’s, they will have to make do for now with some new branding and a slightly golder logo.
Maybe next year they’ll make it even shinier.
