Browns Projected to Have ‘Dream' NFL Draft Scenario Fall Into Their Lap
The Cleveland Browns have a lot of positions of need, so it's a good thing they have nine picks in the upcoming 2026 NFL draft, including two first-round picks.
Most expect the Browns to address their underwhelming offense with both of those first-rounders (No. 6 and 24 overall) - and that's exactly what Mike Renner of CBS Sports thinks too.
In his most recent mock draft, Renner has the Browns going offense with both of those picks, including what he called a "dream scenario" with Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson - who many scouts believe is the best WR in the draft - falling to them with the 24th overall pick.
"A dream scenario for Cleveland, as an extensive injury history causes one of the draft’s most talented receivers to fall into its lap," Renner wrote. "Tyson has the high-end separation ability to be a No. 1 at the next level."
With Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson seemingly battling it out for the starting quarterback job next season, adding a high-ceiling weapon for them to throw to seems unavoidable.
Several draft experts believe the Browns will take whoever is left between Tyson, Ohio State's Carnell Tate, or USC's Makai Lemon at pick 24. Tyson sliding all the way down to the latter third of the draft would be a major win for Cleveland.
With the sixth overall pick, Renner has the team taking mammoth (6-foot-7, 352 pounds) Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor.
"The Browns’ offensive line revamp continues," Renner stated. "With their timeline, they have the luxury of taking a high-ceiling prospect who needs development. Still only 20 years old, Proctor has jaw-dropping traits for a player that young. His improvement over the course of last season makes him easy to buy into."
