North Iredell senior hits milestone in softball win over Statesville

North Iredell blanked Statesville 16-0 in North Piedmont Conference softball action Tuesday.

It was a milestone night for Barrett Williams. The North Iredell senior recorded two hits, with one being the 100th of her high school career.

Kynlie Moss was the winning pitcher. She allowed only one hit and struck out seven in a contest that lasted only four innings because of the mercy rule.

The Raiders recorded 10 hits, with Kinley Feimster having three including a home run. Anna Wright also paired hits, with Ansley Nelson, Bethany Cloer and Miley Christopher also having hits.

North Iredell (10-8, 4-5) hosts nonconference foe North Surry on senior night Wednesday.
