NBA Fans Want Thunder's Lu Dort Banned After 'Dirty' Play

NBA fans may have reached their breaking point with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Luguentz Dort.

The Thunder traveled to Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix this Saturday to resume their first-round series with the Suns. Unsurprisingly, the defending champions entered Game 3 as overwhelming favorites. They've won the first two games of this series by a combined 48 points.

If the Suns are going to claw their way back into this series, Devin Booker will need to put on his Superman cape. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury this Saturday afternoon.

Booker was tripped by Dort as he was cutting towards the rim. He then hobbled off the hardwood with an ankle injury.

Although it may have seemed like an accident, NBA fans are convinced Dort intentionally tripped Booker. With that being said, they want him suspended immediately.

"Instead of doing pointless L2M reports, how about you do a DIRTY PLAYER report," one fan suggested. "Something that is actually useful. You then use the report to suspend players. On that Devin Booker fall, Lou Dort stuck that foot out on purpose. He knew exactly what he was doing."

"The NBA should suspend Lu Dort right now," a second fan wrote on X.

"Ban Lu Dort from the league," another fan declared.

"Just ban Lu Dort for life," a social media user said.

Controversy surrounding the Thunder-Suns series.

After the Thunder defeated the Suns in Game 2, Booker suggested that certain NBA refs should be investigated.

"It's definitely something that has to be looked at. I heard (Alex) Caruso tell them to call the tech and he ended up doing it. In my 11 years, I haven't called a ref out by name, but James (Williams) was terrible tonight, through and through. It's bad for the sport, bad for the integrity of the sport. People are going to start viewing this as the WWE if they're not held responsible," Booker told reporters. "I know I haven't won a championship in this league but I have been in it for 11 years now, so to get to this point to be treated like that, for me to even be saying something out loud, it's bad. It's my first time in 11 years but it's needed. Whatever, I get fined for it, everybody can pull the clips and see where the frustration comes from."

We can't blame Booker if he unleashes another postgame rant this Saturday.
