Fever Rookie Had Three Words for Lexie Hull After Preseason Game

Raven Johnson made her highly anticipated preseason debut for the Indiana Fever on Saturday night. The No. 10 overall pick of the 2026 WNBA Draft came off the bench to help lead the Fever to a 109-91 win against the New York Liberty.

Fever guard Lexie Hull was not in action for Indiana's preseason debut. The 6-foot-1 guard was ruled out due to tightness in her left hamstring. The injury is not considered serious, but the Fever opted to give Hull the night off for the exhibition game.

Hull supported her team from the bench as Indiana cruised to victory. After the win, the veteran took to social media to share her reaction.

Johnson was one of the players who caught Hull's eye during the game. The former South Carolina Gamecocks star turned in a strong performance in her debut, logging six points on 3-of-3 shooting off the bench. Johnson also added three rebounds, eight assists, a steal, two blocks and zero turnovers in 18 minutes of play.

Hull shared the Fever's post on Johnson's debut via an Instagram story. Johnson caught wind of the post and responded to her teammate.

"my amazing vet," Johnson wrote in her own Instagram story, along with a couple of teary-eyed and a red heart emoji.

Johnson will want to keep her foot on the gas in their next game. The Fever return to action on Thursday in another preseason contest. They will host the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for their first preseason home game.

Hull's absence on Saturday was more precautionary. She could make her preseason debut on Wednesday against the Wings.
