NFL Fans Praising Jordon Hudson For Calling Out Hypocritical Media

Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson has endured enough slings and arrows in one year to last a lifetime. Now, amid a new media scandal that some are flat-out refusing to cover, she's going on the offensive.

Yesterday it was reported that NBC has reduced the role of longtime analyst Chris Simms. One of the theories behind his being removed from Football Night in America is his eagerness to discuss the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel story in a way that might have gotten ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio into some trouble with the bosses.

Florio and Hudson are the furthest thing from friends, so after seeing the report, Hudson decided to have a little fun with it and called out Florio for his alleged role in what happened to Simms.

"We're not talking about this? Why not, @ProFootballTalk ?"

Defending Hudson

As much as NFL fans love to make fun of Hudson, many fans couldn't help but applaud her for going after the media since so many refuse to.

"It's a total joke! Simms loses his job over trying to shed light on this scandal. Florio rudely interrupts & brings up this inane Star Wars reference out of nowhere. Crissy Froyd, Simms, & 2 guys from WEII, lose their job for trying to talk sense about this corrupt scandal," one user replied to Hudson.

"Tough to be team Vrabel but also Team Jordon. But I think Jordon is more concerned with the media. In that case, get em Jordon!" wrote another.

"Kettle wants to make sure we call the pots out," a third wrote.

Recapping the Controversy

The controversy surrounding Vrabel and Russini began a few weeks ago after photos published by Page Six showed the two together at a resort in Arizona during league meetings. Because Vrabel was the head coach of the Patriots and Russini covered the NFL for The Athletic, the images sparked widespread speculation about a possible inappropriate relationship and raised questions about professional boundaries between reporters and league sources. Both denied wrongdoing and said the photos lacked context.

The story grew larger because it touched on media ethics, conflicts of interest, and how personal relationships can affect public trust in sports reporting. The Athletic reportedly reviewed the matter internally, and Russini later resigned from the outlet amid intense public attention. The NFL said it was not investigating Vrabel under league policy, while Vrabel later acknowledged having difficult conversations with family and team members. The controversy became less about confirmed misconduct and more about perception, accountability, and standards for journalists and high-profile sports figures.
