Angel Reese Facing Criticism For 'Taunting' Her Ex-Boyfriend On Social Media

Angel Reese and her new WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream, are preparing for the 2026 regular season. Meanwhile, the third-year WNBA forward is trending for her behavior on social media.

The WNBA star's current boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., is facing off against her ex-boyfriend, Jalen Duren, in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Carter's team, the Magic, are leading the Pistons, 3-1, heading into Game 5.

Reese is very much enjoying this.

The Atlanta Dream forward celebrated the Magic's latest victory, sharing a photo of her ex-boyfriend getting dunked on in brutal fashion.

Reese, who starred collegiately at LSU and Maryland, is facing criticism for her social media behavior.

"I cannot imagine the unfathomable pain that is losing money and a playoff series to your ex's new boyfriend while she flaunts it on social media every night," one fan wrote.

Reese accused of 'taunting' her ex-boyfriend

Fans believe that Reese is taking things too far.

"SHE POSTED THIS MAN GETTNG DUNKED ON He cannot let this slide bro," one fan wrote.

"She's the worst type of woman man," one fan added.

"Duren gotta delete all socials and lock himself in a gym all offseason," one fan added.

"Now imagine all of that….and the ex in question is Angel Reese Unheard level of pain," one fan added.

"With regards to Angel, Duren pretty much won. He's clearly still has a lot of real estate in her mind still. I wouldn't rule out that she might have more feelings for him than the current bf bcuz Duren is rent free in her head," another fan wrote.

Game 5 of the Pistons vs. Magic series, meanwhile, is underway on Wednesday evening. It's airing live on Amazon Prime.
