Spencer Jones' Girlfriend Is Ready For His Yankees Debut

The future is now for the New York Yankees, as 6-foot-7 slugger Spencer Jones has officially been called up to the big leagues.

Now that Jasson Dominguez has been placed on the injured list, the Yankees are in need of another outfielder. Luckily for the Bronx Bombers, they got a potential-packed bat waiting in the wings in Jones. In 33 games at the Triple-A level this season, he's batting .258 with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs.

"The last three or four weeks have been a lot of consistent at-bats," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. "The power has been there; less swing and miss, which is some of the things we were seeing a little bit in Spring Training. After that second week in Triple-A where he struggled a little bit with swing and miss, he's cleaned that up. I think I saw he's leading all of Minor League Baseball in RBIs. He's put himself in the mix."

The Yankees are certainly hoping Jones' swing will pair nicely with the short porch in right field. All we know for sure is that he'll receive plenty of support from his No. 1 fan.

After the Yankees officially welcomed Jones to "The Show" on Friday, his girlfriend Ava O'Connor posted a heartfelt message on Instagram.

"Let's go baby! The most deserving incredible man," she wrote. "I love you!"

Is Spencer Jones the missing piece to the World Series puzzle?

There's no question the Yankees could win the American League this season. They have elite starting pitching and a lineup that just continues to steamroll opponents.

That being said, we've seen role players for the Yankees struggle in the postseason over the past few years. Maybe, just maybe, Jones can strengthen the bottom of the order.

Fans can watch Jones and the Yankees take on the Milwaukee Brewers this Friday at 7:40 p.m. ET.
