Raiders' Maxx Crosby Releases New Rap Song - Listen Here
Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby seems to be coping with his failed Baltimore Ravens trade just fine.
On March 6, the Raiders and Ravens had a trade in place to send Crosby to the Ravens in exchange for two first-round draft picks. But the Raiders announced the Ravens had “backed out” of the trade.
Every NFL insider you can think of reported that the Ravens nixed the trade over medical concerns discovered during Crosby’s physical. Crosby was two months removed from undergoing knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus, which was common knowledge before the Ravens agreed to acquire him.
At any rate, all signs point toward Crosby remaining a Raider for the foreseeable future. The five-time Pro Bowler is also moonlighting as a rapper.
Crosby directly addressed the failed trade in an hour-long podcast episode. That preceded two rap songs, which shed further light on his headspace. First, he dropped “2AM in Vegas” on April 23, and he doubled down with “PLAQUEBOYMAXX” on Friday.
The hook is pretty straightforward: “I’m feeling like PlaqueBoyMaxx.” Elsewhere in the song, Crosby raps about his wealth (“100 mil times two, that’s back-to-back”), and alludes to the Raiders (“Silver and black, that’s trim / Workin’ all day, let’s win”). The music video features a brief cameo from his daughter and a lot of cigars.
It’s clear Crosby has a fat chip on his shoulder entering the 2026 season. Despite an injury-riddled 2025, Crosby collected 10 sacks, 20 quarterback hits, and 28 tackles for loss in 15 games. He has 69.5 sacks, 439 total tackles, 164 QB hits, and 133 tackles for loss since the Raiders drafted him in the fourth round in 2019.
