Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo Make Big Personal Announcement

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey won the AP Comeback Player of the Year in February, and he thanked his wife, Olivia Culpo, and his infant daughter, Colette, in his acceptance speech.

The next time McCaffrey accepts an award, he’ll have one name to add to his list.

Culpo, 34, and McCaffrey, 29, announced Friday that they are expecting their second child. Their jointly posted Instagram carousel featured Colette, now 10 months, their puppy, and a sonogram. They did not disclose the unborn baby’s gender or when Culpo is due.

Culpo and McCaffrey met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend, per Vogue, and have been “inseparable” since. They were married on June 29, 2024.

McCaffrey began his NFL career as the eighth overall pick of the Carolina Panthers in the 2017 draft. He earned his first All-Pro selection in 2019, when he rushed for 1,387 yards and 15 touchdowns and caught 116 passes for 1,005 yards and four touchdowns.

The Panthers traded McCaffrey to the 49ers during the 2022 season, and the 49ers’ offense has orbited around McCaffrey ever since.

McCaffrey led the league with 1,459 yards and 15 touchdowns on 272 carries in 2023, a season that ended with an overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. His 2024 season was limited to four games due to bilateral Achilles tendinitis, setting up his Comeback Player of the Year season last year.

In 2025, McCaffrey rushed for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns on a career-high 311 rushes. While McCaffrey was healthy, the rest of the Niners were hurt. Despite that, San Francisco went 12-5 and reached the NFC Divisional Round.
