Indiana Fever's Aliyah Boston Takes Issue With Dallas Wings' Flopping Against Caitlin Clark
The Indiana Fever lost to the Dallas Wings in their season opener, 107-104. While Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell combined for 73 points, they couldn't slow down Arike Ogunbowale, Paige Bueckers and Odyssey Sims.
Clark, despite scoring 20 points, struggled with her shooting in the game. She went 7-of-18 from the field, including 2-of-9 from deep. Moreover, she committed four fouls.
Among her fouls, though, two were offensive foul calls involving Aziaha James. One play saw James fall after taking a hit from Clark, while the other was a clear push by the Fever star against the Wings guard.
However, it's worth noting that several viewers noticed how James seemingly flopped to sell the foul on Clark. Even the Fever guard appeared to call out the act after she got the whistle.
Boston, for her part, took issue with what she believes was clear flopping from James. During the latest episode of her "Post Moves" podcast with WNBA legend Candace Parker, the Fever center highlighted that the falling "was a lot."
"It was crazy, though," Boston stated. "All that falling, that was a lot. That's the only thing."
Parker, nonetheless, played it down and told Boston that it's part of the game. She emphasized that, "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying."
The WNBA icon added that since basketball is an entertaining sport, players will have to sell it sometimes.

It remains to be seen how Boston, Clark and the rest of the Fever will handle the flopping against them and whether or not they'll utilize it as well.
Whatever they do, though, the Fever are expected to be title contenders this 2026 after making it all the way to the WNBA semifinals last campaign.
