Trevor Lawrence Didn't Actually Cut His Hair For Jaguars' Schedule Release

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has a cannon for an arm, but he’s best known for his unrivaled flow. Remember Sunshine from “Remember the Titans”? He dreams of having Lawrence’s long, golden locks.

The Jaguars are well aware of the lore around Lawrence’s hair, so they themed their entire 2026 NFL schedule release video around it.

The video dropped Thursday night. It showed Lawrence walking into a barber shop, and the Jaguars’ schedule was slowly revealed while his hair fell to the floor. It didn’t take long for commentary and jokes to flood the Jaguars’ social pages. Was it a real haircut? If so, why did Lawrence opt for such a bad cut?

The outrage was all for naught, as the Jaguars confirmed Friday that it was all fake.

In the new behind-the-scenes video, Lawrence confirms that it was not his real hair. He wore a wig for the original schedule release video. When asked if he’s ever considered actually cutting his hair short again, Lawrence said he’s “not really” thought about it because he’s “just gotten so used to it like this.” Plus, his wife, Marissa, prefers his long hair.

“She’s seen me with short hair,” Lawrence said in the video. “She’s known me forever. So, she doesn’t want me to cut it. I would. I don’t know. I just don’t know what I would do if I cut it. Like, what style? I don’t even know. It’s just easier to keep the same thing you’ve always had.”

So, that settles that.

As for the schedule itself, the Jaguars will have a tough road to repeating as AFC South champions. They start at home against Cleveland, so that should be a cupcake, but their next five games are brutal: at Denver, home against New England, at Cincinnati, and then over to London to play the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans in Week 5 and Week 6, respectively.

Then again, speaking with conviction about games to be played five months from now is as foolish as believing that Trevor Lawrence would really cut his hair.
