MLB The Show 26 Patch Notes: New Update Focuses on Diamond Dynasty and Franchise
Just one day after the Rivalry Weekend Recap Program rewards were revealed on May 20, San Diego Studio pushed out a new update for MLB The Show 26 aimed at cleaning up several frustrating bugs across Diamond Dynasty, Franchise, and stadium presentation.
Game Update 10 is scheduled to deploy on May 22 at 4 AM PT across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. While the patch is not massive in size, it does target several issues that players have repeatedly encountered in Diamond Dynasty, especially during Conquest and program navigation.
Diamond Dynasty Updates
The biggest focus of the patch lands inside Diamond Dynasty.
According to the official patch notes, the update addresses:
- A ‘program error' issue when viewing programs
- A freeze during no-doubt home run presentations in Conquest
- An unhandled server exception tied to viewing online stats
- Duplicate challenges appearing during the same Diamond Quest run
For Diamond Dynasty grinders working through the newly released Rivalry Weekend Recap Program, those stability improvements should help smooth out some of the recent frustrations tied to menus and online tracking.
Franchise and Miscellaneous Changes
Franchise mode also received a small but notable correction.
Franchise
- Incorrect positions will no longer display if more than five players are inducted into the Hall of Fame during the same year
Miscellaneous
- Changed the sign behind the pitcher in Franco Park
- Fixed warped and distorted exterior stadium flags
- Corrected the foul territory line on the left field wall at T-Mobile Park
