Kurt Busch Lays Down 8 Flowers on Charlotte Infield in Honor of Brother Kyle Busch
The entire NASCAR community is rallying around the family of Kyle Busch. His parents, wife, children, and brother were all on pit road before the start of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
In honor of his brother, Kurt Busch had his own moment in the infield. He laid 8 white flowers on the No. 8 logo honoring Kyle in the infield. A quick kneel on the ground, the sign of the cross, and Kurt stood up and went on to participate in the moment of silence before the race.
Kurt and Kyle Busch are the winningest brothers to ever race in NASCAR. Their contributions to the sport helped define a generation of NASCAR racing. Here is the video of Kurt laying the flowers down, via Joey Ellis of CSL Live.

It was an incredibly emotional pre-race atmosphere at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Busch family made a very brave choice to be at the Coca-Cola 600. There have been so many memories and stories and anecdotes from drivers and teams all weekend long.
The sudden and tragic death of Kyle Busch is felt throughout the NASCAR community. Memorial Day Weekend takes on a slightly different feel and tone this year without Busch in the field.
Between all of his race wins and his time as a team owner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Kyle Busch influenced so much about the sport in the last 20 years. One of the greatest natural talents in all of motorsports, Busch will be missed for who he was on and off the track.
