Thunder Coach Admits Mistake in Blowout Loss to Spurs
The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered through their worst offensive performance in years in a 103-82 Game 4 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.
The Thunder had a horrific shooting performance, just 33% from the floor, 18.2% from 3-point range and committed 20 turnovers that the Spurs converted into 25 points. Head coach Mark Daigneault was left scratching his head after the game, admitting his team wasn’t sharp enough.
“I thought we left a lot to be desired on that end of the floor tonight,” he said. “We didn’t have the sharpness, force or precision necessary to crack them. They were really good defensively. Just their energy, their physicality.”

Oklahoma City scored its fewest points in a game since Dec. 2, 2021, when the then-rebuilding Thunder were held to 79 points in a record-setting 73-point loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 19 points on the night, but no other scorer dropped more than 12 points for the Thunder as they struggled to convert on the offensive end.
The series will now shift back to Oklahoma City for Game 5, which tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 26.
