Jaxson Dart Gets Trolled With 23rd Birthday Present In Locker Room
We're still several months away from the start of the 2026 NFL season, but New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is already getting trolled by his teammates.
Dart, the 25th overall pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, had 2,272 passing yards, 487 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns as a rookie for the Giants. His toughness and athleticism was on full display plenty of times during his 12 starts.
While there's been plenty of drama surrounding Dart and his decision to introduce President Donald Trump at a rally last Friday, it appears his teammates are on good terms with him.
In fact, Giants offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa trolled Dart by making him a custom Miami jersey for his 23rd birthday.
Mauigoa's college squad, Miami, defeated Dart's former school, Ole Miss, during last season's College Football Playoff semifinals. The Hurricanes won the Fiesta Bowl in large part because of Carson Beck's heroics in the fourth quarter.
As you'd imagine, Dart wasn't thrilled about the birthday present he received from Mauigoa.
Francis Mauigoa is ready to "ride or die" for his quarterback.
When the Giants selected Mauigoa with the 10th overall pick, he told ESPN's Laura Rutledge that he's ready to "die" for Dart.
"Jaxson's a great guy," Mauigoa said. "I know he's a Utah guy, from Ole Miss, great quarterback, elite quarterback I would say, with the way he plays and the way he handles things. I feel great in this offense. We're going to get this thing going. We're going to have a lot of fun."
John Harbaugh and his coaching staff in New York are certainly hoping Mauigoa protects Dart this fall.
The Giants will begin their 2026 season on "Sunday Night Football" against the Dallas Cowboys.
