Ticket Prices For Knicks' NBA Finals Games Are 'Astronomical'

It's been 27 years since the New York Knicks last made the NBA Finals and judging by the cost of tickets, we can only hope fans have been saving their money since the last one.

The get-in price at Madison Square Garden for Games 3 and 4 have reportedly reached the highest in NBA history already.

According to the New York Post, the get-in price to Game 3 on the Gametime app is a whopping $3,410. Over on Vivid Seats, Game 4 will cost $3,242.

TickPick announced last night that their prices are $3,745 and $3,464 respectively for Games 3-4, which it called "the most expensive NBA tickets on record."

From the Cheap-Seats to Courtside

But while the "cheap seats" might cost a minimum wage worker about a month's salary just to get through the door at MSG, the premium seats are going to require you to take out multiple mortgages on your house and still might not be enough.

On user on X found that a courtside ticket is retailing for an ungodly $1,095,616. They then compared it to a Zillow listing for a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with over 3,500 square feet in Oklahoma City and found they were nearly identical in price.

"For the price of a Knicks Finals ticket you can buy a 4 bedroom house in Oklahoma City," the user wrote.

While that may be the cream of the crop among tickets, people are already paying house prices for tickets. Multiple outlets have confirmed that someone purchased two courtside seats for nearly $280,000 in total.

It sounds insane until you consider how bad the Knicks have been for so long and how fanatical the fans have remained in their devotion to the team through thick and thin. Many have been waiting literally their entire adult lives for an opportunity and it's no surprise that they're ready to pay through the nose to see their team compete for the biggest prize in basketball.

Celebrity Row is likely to look like the Oscars and you'll be hard-pressed to find a single Spurs or Thunder jersey at The Garden during those two Knicks home games.

Whether they're actually equipped to win those games is something we'll have to wait and see.
