Meet Iredell's all-North Piedmont Conference spring sports honorees, including 21 elite award winners
The North Piedmont 6A-7A released its all-conference teams for the spring sports season.
Several athletes and coaches from Iredell County garnered top distinctions.
In total, 21 from Iredell schools earned the highest honors across six sports.
Elite recognition
Baseball: Pitcher of the Year - Christian Sandoval, Lake Norman; Coach of the Year - Sam Fontanez, Lake Norman.
Boys golf: Golfer of the Year - Colin Nelin, Lake Norman; Coach of the Year - Steve Stith, Mooresville.
Girls soccer: Offensive Player of the Year - Morgan Benningfield, Lake Norman; Defensive Player of the Year - Skylar Scott, Lake Norman; Coach of the Year - Matt Bice, South Iredell.
Softball: Player of the Year - Addi Myers, South Iredell; Pitcher of the Year - Kynlie Moss, North Iredell; Coach of the Year - Kaylee Johnson, South Iredell.
Boys tennis: Player of the Year - Leo Mazza, Mooresville; Coach of the Year - Emile Plyler, Statesville.
Track (boys): MVP - Bryan Lindsay, Mooresville; Track Athlete of the Year - Chaven Rucker, Statesville; Field Athlete of the Year - Brooks Culp, South Iredell; Coach of the Year - Jay Clark, Mooresville.
