Gervonta 'Tank' Davis Faces Arrest Warrant for Probation Violation After Alleged Assault
Gervonta "Tank" Davis is once again wanted by authorities, this time for allegedly violating his probation order during an altercation with his ex-girlfriend at a Miami strip club last year. According to TMZ, Maryland judge Althea M. Handy signed off on an arrest warrant on April 24, stemming from his 2020 hit-and-run in Baltimore, where multiple people were hurt.
Judge Handy initially issued a warrant in February 2026, shortly after "Tank" was arrested in Miami on felony charges of battery, false imprisonment, and kidnapping. Davis' lawyers were able to get the false imprisonment charge dropped, and they successfully had the court order withdrawn at the time, arguing that the boxer cooperated with law enforcement.
Now, however, the warrant has been officially issued and Davis is now wanted by Maryland authorities.
Probation Violation
According to local officials, the probation violation occurred on Oct. 27 last year in Miami, when "Tank" allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, at Tootsie's Cabaret, an establishment Rossel worked at as a cocktail waitress.
Video footage of the attack was shown in court and depicts the boxer holding Rossel by the back of the neck while forcibly directing her to go throughout the building and into a parking garage. Davis nearly dragged Rossel into a vehicle, but she was able to narrowly escape and hide amongst her coworkers inside the building

The incident caused a two-week manhunt of Davis by the Miami Gardens police and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force. It also led Rossel to press civil charges on "Tank," which caused him to drop out of his exhibition fight against Jake Paul.
Outside the Courtroom
Despite the multiple legal battles "Tank" is facing, the boxer has been recently filmed on social media partying, dancing to the Justin Bieber song, "Baby" (via Brunch Boxing on X):

Regarding his boxing career, Davis was also ordered by the WBA just days ago to defend his lightweight title against the mandatory challenger Floyd Schofield Jr.
While his timeline to return to the ring seemed like a possibility for the latter half of 2026, given this latest arrest warrant added on top of a criminal and civil trial, that possibility seems less likely.
