After the game, SGA gave high praise to the Spurs, noting they have been one of the toughest playoff opponents Oklahoma City has faced, while also mentioning the Indiana Pacers and last year's Denver Nuggets team that also pushed the Thunder to seven games.
"They're up there for sure. Indiana and Denver were pretty tough," Gilgeous-Alexander admitted. "Taking us to Game 7, probably the common denominator with those groups. But yeah, they're a very tough team, really good team.
"Especially this late in the season, you're going to play teams of this caliber, it's no surprise … When you're on a playoff run, you run into teams that are very good, especially when you get this late and however many games it takes, however many games it takes."
Despite the struggling performance and potentially mental exhaustion of another playoff run, SGA made it very clear that he’s “ready to go” for Game 7 Saturday night in front of his home fans.
“Oh, I'm good. I'm ready to go. Biggest game of my career … and if I lose, my season's over."
